1st Morris Names Riccioni Its CEO

Ralph J. Riccioni has been named president and chief executive officer of First Morris Bank, Morris Township, N.J.

Mr. Riccioni, who had been executive vice president for the past three years, succeeds Thayer Talcott Jr., who is retiring after a 30-year career in banking. Mr. Talcott will continue as a member of the bank's board of directors.

Stephen B. Wiley is chairman of the board of First Morris Bank.

The bank also reported a 45% increase in earnings for the first quarter, with net income of $354,000. The bank said it benefited from higher fee income and lower expenses associated with nonperforming assets.

Before joining First Morris in November 1991, Mr. Riccioni spent 20 years with First Fidelity Bank, Newark, where he held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility including, most recently, president of the company's Morris Savings Bank subsidiary.
