PNC Bank Names Executives

PNC Bank, Ohio, Cincinnati, said Cortland J. Meader, executive vice president and head of the bank's investment management and trust division, is retiring at the end of the year.

In the interim, he will oversee the transition of traditional investment management and trust activities to other areas of the bank, and will assist the bank's president, Ralph S. Michael 3d, who is chairman of the 1995 Greater Cincinnati United Way Campaign.

Dennis P. Brenckle, executive vice president, will manage a new private banking organization and assume Mr. Meader's responsibilities for the personal trust and charitable and endowment areas. Mr. Brenckle had been head of retail banking.

D. Bryant Mitchell, executive vice president, continues as head of corporate banking, which now includes corporate trust and employee benefits, along with all traditional corporate banking departments.

Ellen G. van der Horst, executive vice president, will assume Mr, Brenckle's responsibilities.
