Firstar Names Senior Team To Manage Its Illinois Bank

Firstar Corp., Milwaukee, named senior managers for its recently formed Firstar Bank Illinois.

The Chicago bank resulted from the merger of four Firstar banks in Illinois and the 17 First Colonial banks; it has 45 offices throughout the Chicago area.

Bruce W. Glawe was named president of the bank's community banking group, which comprises the 45 banking offices divided into three regions to serve consumer and small business markets. He had been president of Firstar Bank West.

Michael J. Clawson was appointed executive vice president in charge of the commercial financial group. He had been executive vice president of First Colonial Bankshares and president and chief executive officer of Michigan Avenue National Bank.

Kenneth A. Aschom was named senior vice president, heading the wealth management division. His responsibilities include overseeing the Illinois operations of Firstar Trust Services and Firstar Investment Services. He formerly was head of the Midwest correspondent banking division of Firstar Bank Milwaukee.

Gina Crist-Lange was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer. She had been a first vice president, establishing the operations center, which she will continue to oversee, and centralizing and standardizing operations for the 15 Firstar bank offices in Illinois.

Scott S. Hickey was named senior vice president and chief credit officer. He joined Firstar Bank Milwaukee in 1985 and later was made head of the U.S. banking division.

Kelly B. Henning was appointed vice president and group marketing manager. She had been assistant vice president and retail financial sales manager for Firstar's three North Shore locations.
