Visa Chooses Veteran Chase Executive To Be President of Asia-Pacific

Ending a four-month worldwide search, Visa International has appointed Dennis M. Goggin president of its Asia-Pacific region and a member of its executive committee, effective June 1.

He succeeds Lindsay C. Pyne who resigned in January to pursue other business ventures in Asia.

Mr. Goggin, 51, is based in Hong Kong as managing director and regional executive for Chase Manhattan Bank's corporate and institutional business in continental and Southeast Asia.

He is also director of Manhattan Credit Card Limited, Chase's Hong Kong credit card subsidiary.

He had worked 23 years at Chase.

Mr. Goggin earned his master's degree in history from Indiana University in 1970 and graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in 1967.
