In Brief: Alltell, Genesis 2000 Team Up on Data Base

The mortgage division of Alltel Information Services and Genesis 2000 are jointly offering mortgage brokers a national multilender data base of rates and prices.

The pricing service will be delivered on the Genesis 2000 mortgage origination system. A special feature will be the ability to lock in rates with lenders.

The companies' announcement, made at the recent convention of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers in Reno says the joint venture will make the data base available to Genesis 2000's 3,200 mortgage broker and banker clients.

Separately, Genesis 2000, based in Calabasas, Calif., said it was releasing a new version of its loan processing and tracking system that will run under Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, or Windows NT.

The new version will also provide a direct interface with Fannie Mae's originations and underwriting systems and its network.
