Atlantic Bank Of N.Y. Promotes David Slackman,

David S. Slackman and Robert J. Tolomer have been promoted to executive vice president by Atlantic Bank of New York.

Mr. Slackman is head of the consumer business group, and Mr. Tolomer is chief credit and compliance officer.

Michael D. Protono, director of human resources, was promoted to senior vice president.

Mr. Slackman joined the bank in May 1994 as a senior vice president to help manage the consumer business units, which include the branch system, consumer lending, mortgage originations, and marketing.

Mr. Tolomer has worked for Atlantic bank since September 1992 as senior vice president and chief credit officer. Since then, he has assumed the posts of chief compliance officer and corporate secretary.

He also developed initiatives in policies and processes covering internal controls and regulatory compliance bankwide and was instrumental in designing and executing the bank's Community Reinvestment Act program.
