Analyst Joins an Ex-Colleague at Salomon

Michael A. Plodwick is rejoining former colleague Carole S. Berger as a regional-bank analyst for Salomon Brothers Inc.

Mr. Plodwick had been at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell/C.J. Lawrence Inc. in New York, where he worked with Ms. Berger for five years before she left in 1994. The regional banking analyst team for Salomon will also include Sheri Ptashek.

Money-centers will still be covered at Salomon by Diane B. Glossman.

With Mr. Plodwick's arrival, Jeffrey B. Nascheck, who has covered regionals, will shift his attention to the savings and loan industry and government-sponsored enterprises like the Federal National Mortgage Association, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., and Student Loan Marketing Association.

Bruce W. Harting, who previously covered those sectors for Salomon, departed earlier this year for a similar position at Lehman Brothers.

Prior to his tenure at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Mr. Plodwick worked at Tucker Anthony and Shearson Lehman Hutton. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Lehigh University and a bachelor's degree from Monmouth College.
