Two Top Home Banking Execs Leaving for Other Visa Posts

Two top executives at Visa Interactive, the credit card association's remote-banking unit, are taking new posts within Visa International.

President and chief operating officer D. Fraser Bullock and Brent W. Robinson, a senior vice president, are both changing jobs so they can move closer to relatives.

"This is a situation where the phrase 'departing for personal reasons' means just that," said Visa spokesman Gregory Jones.

He said the moves have been under discussion for some time, and are not connected to the performance of the Visa unit.

Mr. Bullock said he will remain in his current job until a replacement is found. After that time, he will take a to-be-determined position within Visa International.

In the new position "I'll have some oversight and connection to Visa Interactive," he said.

Mr. Bullock added that more specific details about his role should be forthcoming from Visa's board of directors later this summer.

He said Mr. Robinson's new job will be connected to his, continuing a professional relationship that has spanned 15 years.

They came to Visa two years ago when it purchased the home banking and bill payment businesses of U.S. Order, where they had been working.

In their time with Visa Interactive, Mr. Bullock and Mr. Robinson have "done some great things to develop standards for home banking," said Mr. Jones. They also have seen the unit's customer base grow from ground zero to nearly 90 banks.

Names of possible replacements for the departing executives have not yet surfaced.

Mr. Jones said there is no rush to fill the jobs, since the executives will handle their current responsibilities until the executive search is completed.

But it is expected that replacements can be found by the end of the fall.
