First USA Bank Promotes Five, Naming Chief Financial Officer

First USA Bank, Wilmington, Del., announced five senior-level promotions.

Two executives, George P. Hubley and Daniel C. Barr, will report to Richard W. Vague, chairman and chief executive officer of the unit of First USA Inc.

Mr. Hubley, 35, who joined First USA in 1986, was promoted to chief financial officer and will retain his executive vice president title. He will direct all aspects of financial reporting.

Mr. Barr, 34, was promoted to executive vice president, corporate human resources. He joined the company in 1993 as senior vice president of corporate human resources.

Meanwhile, Catherine German-West and Kevin D. Murphy were also named executive vice presidents, reporting to president Randy Christofferson.

Ms. German-West, 36, oversees card member services; she joined in 1991 as senior vice president in this area.

Mr. Murphy, 45, oversees collections; he also was promoted from senior vice president. He joined First USA in 1990 and directed development of the collections and recovery unit.

William S. Wallace, 33, was promoted to senior vice president of systems. He joined First USA in 1993 as vice president of computer operations, overseeing adoption of new technology and the data warehouse. He will report to Jeffrey G.J. Chittenden, chief information officer.
