Bankers Trust Names Executives

Bankers Trust New York Corp. has hired four executives for its Latin American equities business.

Paul Wargnier was named managing director and product manager; John Bohan and Gerard Raho were named vice presidents, Mr. Bohan in trading and Mr. Raho in sales trading; and Karen Miller was named research analyst, covering Latin American conglomerates and industrial companies.

Mr. Wargnier was head of Latin American research at the New York branch of Union Bank of Switzerland.

Mr. Bohan was vice president and head of the Latin American equity trading in London at ING Barings. Before that, he was was a senior Latin American equities trader in New York.

Mr. Raho was a vice president and Latin American equities sales trader at J.P. Morgan, New York.

Ms. Miller was an equity analyst at Latinvest Securities, covering Mexican conglomerates.

The bank has also hired Fiona Paulus and Paula Fontenla for its international corporate finance division, handling clients from Brazil.

Ms. Paulus, named a managing director, held the same post at Chemical Bank before it merged with Chase Manhattan. Ms. Fontenla was named a vice president, also her title at Chase. Both had been responsible for capital markets and corporate finance services for clients in Brazil.
