Smart Bytes: Schlumberger's U.S. Card Maker Certified

Schlumberger Malco Inc., the largest U.S. maker of plastic cards, won quality certification from the International Standards Organization for its financial transaction cards, manufacturing and distribution of magnetic tape, and production of smart card products.

Schlumberger, the French smart card manufacturer and parent company, said its U.S. subsidiary is the first major U.S. card producer with ISO 9002 certification. It joins Schlumberger's factories in France, which got certification this year.
