Card Briefs: MasterCard, Pulse Sign Marketing Agreement

MasterCard International said the Pulse EFT Association has agreed to market MasterMoney, Maestro, and Cirrus as enhancements for Pulse member institutions.

MasterCard has entered similar marketing arrangements with other regional networks to spur point of sale debit transactions.

Pulse processes card transactions for more than 1,800 banks, thrifts, and credit unions in seven states. The network has more than 15,000 automated teller machines and nearly 50,000 Pulse Pay point of sale terminals.
