Midwest Payment Systems announced that it will provide off-line debit card processing for California Federal Bank.
The Los Angeles-based thrift already buys automated teller machine driving and debit card processing from the Fifth Third Bancorp unit, and will add processing services for MasterMoney, MasterCard's off-line debit product.
California Federal, with $14 billion in assets, has 118 locations, more than 250,000 ATM cardholders, and 160 ATMs throughout California and Nevada.
Separately, Midwest Payment Systems said it signed a credit card production contract with Marathon Oil.
Marathon's brand division has more than 2,300 locations in the Midwest with about one million credit-card holders.
