L.I. Bancorp's President Leaving - Chief Exec Will Assume Duties

William E. Viklund, president and chief operating officer at Long Island Bancorp, will retire from his post effective Sept. 30.

Mr. Viklund said he would pursue other interests, according to the bank's press release.

John J. Conefry Jr., chairman and chief executive of the bank, will assume Mr. Viklund's duties.
