Mellon Names MacMillan Head Of Institutional Banking Unit

Thomas C. MacMillan, chairman, president, and chief executive of Mellon Bank Canada, has also been named to head the institutional banking department of its parent company, Mellon Bank Corp., Pittsburgh.

He will be responsible for overseeing the sales and delivery of Mellon financial services to banks, other financial institutions, insurance companies, and securities broker-dealers.

He succeeds Frederick K. Beard, who was named chairman, president, and chief executive of Mellon Bank Maryland.
