FAIR HOUSING: Proposal by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to give banks the option of displaying the Equal Housing Opportunity Lender poster required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development or of using the advertising slogan, "Equal Opportunity Lender. Published Sept. 20; comments due Nov. 19.

CALL REPORTS: Proposal by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council to revamp the first-quarter 1997 call report. The plan would let banks report assets sold with recourse as sales, reducing the amount of capital held against these transactions. Published Sept. 16; comments due Nov. 15.

STORED-VALUE CARDS: Proposal by the FDIC to exclude most stored-value cards from deposit insurance. Published Aug. 2; comments due Oct. 31. REGULATION Y: Proposal by the Federal Reserve Board to open more data processing business to banking companies, streamline application procedures, and abolish tying restrictions on nonbanks. CAPITAL RULES: Proposal by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight to establish the credit-risk portion of up-coming risk-based capital standards for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
