New York Bancorp Names Executive

New York Bancorp, Douglaston, elected Gene Washington to its board and that of its Home Federal Savings Bank.

Mr. Washington, the director of football development of the National Football League, succeeds Ronald H. McGlynn, president of Cramer, Rosenthal McGlynn Inc., an investment advisory firm. Mr. McGlynn resigned for personal reasons, the banking company said.

Mr. Washington was an all-American receiver at Stanford University in 1968 and a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers from 1969 to 1977.
