Short Takes: PNC Names Investment And Trust Sales Manager

PNC Bank Corp. created the position of national manager for its trust and investment management sales force.

The Pittsburgh-based bank announced the appointment last week of Kenneth A. Dorsett as national sales manager, reporting to the head of private banking, senior vice president Joseph C. Guyeaux.

Outside of Pennsylvania, PNC manages assets for and markets itself to private clients in seven other states. Mr. Dorsett will be responsible for developing new business and marketing plans.

Before joining PNC, Mr. Dorsett was a vice president and regional manager of private asset management for Mellon Bank Corp. He has also worked at Trustcorp National Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Star Bank.

Mr. Guyeaux said in a release that Mr. Dorsett "shares the PNC Private Bank's commitment to putting customer needs and satisfaction first."
