Card briefs: Command Credit Revises Its Spin on 1st Data Talks

Command Credit Corp. has amended a January press release that described a prospective business deal with Electronic Data Systems Corp., Plano, Tex.

As reported in the Jan. 16 American Banker, the companies publicly disputed the nature of their agreement to jointly develop credit card services.

Command Credit toned down its original description of the agreement as "a letter of intent."

"Although EDS and Command do have a nonbinding letter of understanding setting the stage for discussions for a business relationship, the discussions are in the very early stages and the details of such an agreement have yet to be addressed," Command's latest announcement read.
