American Express Co. and MCI Telecommunications said they are marketing a service designed to help telecommuters and business travelers keep track of long-distance phone calls and other expenses.
The MCI directed-billing program with American Express Travel Management Services allows telecommuters to bill long distance charges - from home- office phones, cellular phones, and telephone calling card calls on the road - to an American Express Corporate Card.
Companies using MCI for long distance can assist employees in tracking out-of-office calls and other travel and entertainment-related expenses on a single statement.
Almost five years ago, American Express was the first corporate charge card issuer to allow corporations to direct calling card charges to their employees' individual corporate card statements.
