In Brief: Triad Guaranty of N.C. Says Net Rose 34%

Triad Guaranty Insurance Corp. had $7.8 million of net income for 1995, up 34% from $5.8 million the year before.

The private mortgage insurance company said fourth-quarter net income was $2.1 million, up 23% from $1.7 million in the same period of 1994.

Triad wrote $15 million of net premiums in 1995, an increase of 23% from $12.2 million written in 1994.

Favorable interest rates and expansion into new sales territories contributed to the increases, the company said.
