Card briefs: New Processor Enlists Community 1st of Mich.

U.S. Processing Inc., a new electronic funds transfer processor, has signed Community First Bank of Lansing to a five-year contract.

Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

U.S. Processing will be driving the $750 million-asset Michigan bank's 23 automated teller machines. The processor will also provide daily settlement and funds movement, adjustment capabilities, regional and national network access, daily reporting, and updates on customers who card transactions have been blocked.

Community First also expects U.S. Processing to assist the bank with its rollout of the MasterCard off-line debit product, MasterMoney, introducing 20,000 cards to its customer base.
