Card briefs: CCS Technology Is Now Paysys International Inc.

CCS Technology Group, a leading provider of credit card software, has changed its name to Paysys International Inc.

Chief executive Stephen B. Grubb said the move does not affect management or ownership structure but reflects broader strategic objectives at the company - earlier known as Credit Card Software.

"We have been working for the last two years to reposition our company from a software applications vendor to a solutions-oriented, relationship- driven, knowledge organization," said Mr. Grubb. "Our traditional revolving credit offering has been expanded to a much broader scope of products and services.

"Because we have such a large international and domestic presence, with 250 installations worldwide, we also felt the name should reflect both our global reach and our payment systems strategy."

Typifying the outlook, Mr. Grubb said, is the VisionPlus software developed with Household International's credit card unit, which combines Paysys' CardPac bank card system and Vision21 private label system.
