Comerica Establishes Cleveland Lending Office

Comerica Inc., Detroit, has opened a loan production office in the suburbs of Cleveland.

The bank named James Embree, first vice president-corporate banking, to be manager in charge of the Beachwood, Ohio, office. Beachwood is an eastern suburb of Cleveland.

Mr. Embree, who has managed Comerica's loan offices in Dayton and Indianapolis since 1992, is responsible for existing customers and for promoting new business.

The bank said Cleveland's industrial base has been an advantageous site for a middle-market loan production office.

"In addition to traditional commercial lending, we have seen many opportunities here in asset-based lending and trade finance," Mr. Embree said.
