Star Banc Corp. Names Executive

Star Banc Corp., Cincinnati, has named Thomas J. Lakin regional chairman in central Ohio for its Star Bank unit.

Mr. Lakin will remain as a member of the holding company's management committee and as executive vice president on the corporate level. He will be responsible for commercial and consumer banking business in central Ohio, and will be a senior spokesperson for the bank in Columbus and its suburbs.

Mr. Lakin, who joined the company in 1966, continues to report to Jerry A. Grundhofer, chairman, president, and chief executive of Star Banc Corp.

In addition, the company named Douglas V. Wyatt senior vice president, with responsibility for all commercial lending in central Ohio. The bank also said John Christy, regional president for the central Ohio unit, will leave the company to pursue other interests.

Mark Twain Bancshares, St. Louis, has promoted Duncan Burdette to director of loan administration.

Mr. Burdette, who joined the bank in 1982, was senior vice president at Mark Twain Kansas City. He has relocated to St. Louis.
