1st Chicago NBD Appoints Head Of Public Finance

Jacqueline Hurlbutt has been named head of public banking and finance at First Chicago NBD.

The 47-year-old executive was recently replaced as the banking company's head of loan syndications, a position she had held at the former First Chicago Corp. from January 1993.

As head of public finance, Ms. Hurlbutt will serve as the manager for relationships with municipalities and state governments. She will report to Nick G. Preda, senior vice president and head of Midwest relationships.

The appointment is part of a reshuffling in the bank's corporate and investment banking division following last year's First Chicago-NBD Corp. merger.

Robert Patterson, 44, succeeded Ms. Hurlbutt as head of loan syndications.

Mr. Patterson most recently oversaw relationships with midsize companies and with smaller correspondent banks in the Midwest.
