Credit Suisse Transfers Exec to Its Private Bank

Credit Suisse has transferred one of its commercial bankers to its private bank in an effort to build a cross-selling bridge.

Charles R. Shaw spent nine years as sector head of corporate banking in New York before moving over to the private bank as director of corporate finance and credit policy on Monday.

At least half of Credit Suisse's current private banking clients have come over from its investment banking units or corporate lending, according to Barry R. Sloane, the North America regional head for private banking.

Mr. Shaw is expected to cultivate private clients in Chicago and Houston.
