J.P. Morgan's Top Securities Lawyer Named Corporate General Counsel

Rachel F. Robbins has been appointed general counsel and secretary of J.P. Morgan & Co., New York.

She succeeds Edward J. Kelly 3d, who has been named co-head of Morgan's Financial Institutions and Real Estate Investment Banking group.

Ms. Robbins has been deputy general counsel of J.P. Morgan and head of the legal department since 1992, and has been general counsel of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., the company's U.S. securities affiliate, since 1986.
