Card Briefs: Payment-Systems Consulting Firm Growing

Edgar, Dunn & Co., an international management consulting firm specializing in payment systems, announced several promotions and new hires as part of a 25% expansion of its staff.

Senior consultant Jane E. Cloninger, 42, who focuses on retail banking and credit cards, was promoted to partner. Kenneth Howes, 49, the former head of emerging markets and payments strategy for Midland Bank in London, became a partner in the firm's London office.

Other hires included: Rona Simmons, 45, from Speer & Associates Inc., where she was vice president; Michael McNally, 42, from Visa International, where he was vice president of the international interchange and business development department; and Thad Peterson, 45, formerly president of Customer Communications Group of Denver.
