In Brief: Survey Suggests Gains For Purchasing Cards

Purchasing cards are becoming increasingly popular with U.S. corporations, according to a survey by Strategic Financial Partners.

The consulting firm undertook the survey because "the potential benefits of implementing a credit card program are staggering," said Earl Landesman, its chairman.

Twenty-five of the 75 companies questioned have implemented purchasing cards, the study found. Among companies with more than $10 billion in revenues, 87% have such card programs.

Survey participants' average revenue was $8.7 billion, with 70% between $1 billion and $100 billion.
