Canadian Bank Hires 3 Directors For Secondary Loan Trading

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, New York, said that it has hired three directors for its secondary loan trading unit.

They are: Christopher P. Dowicz, C. Blount Edwards, and Stephen S. Usher. The directors are responsible for buying and selling performing loans for the bank's account.

Mr. Dowicz recently worked for Merrill Lynch & Co., New York, as a vice president for bank debt trading, and was a bankruptcy lawyer for the New York firm Robinson Silverman. Mr. Edwards worked for Alex. Brown & Sons Inc., New York, and was responsible for institutional sales and high-yield bonds. Mr. Usher was a vice president and loan trader for Meenan McDevitt & Co., New York.
