In Brief: CUNA Card Unit Names Acting Executive VP

The bruised credit card subsidiary of the Credit Union National Association has a new acting executive.

Greg Moser on Jan. 3 was named acting executive vice president of CUNA Service Group, which includes the Card Services division.

Mr. Moser will help create CUNA EFT Corp., the future parent company for Card Services that is expected to be formed in the first half of 1996.

It will be capitalized by current CUNA Service Group shareholders - CUNA and state trade groups - as well as outside investors, and separated from the CUNA Service Group balance sheet.

The venture should have been capitalized last year, but the plan was derailed by higher-than-expected losses because of a failed computer system conversion.

Mr. Moser had been CUNA's senior vice president of administration since 1993. He had previously worked at the Rhode Island Credit Union League and U.S. Central Credit Union.
