THRIFT LENDING: Proposal by the Office of Thrift Supervision to give savings institutions more flexibility in lending and investing. Published Jan. 17. Comments due April 16.

MARKET RISK: Proposal by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Federal Reserve Board, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to "back-test" bank computer models used in setting capital standards. Will eventually be attached to a broader market risk capital rule proposed in July 1995. Published March 7. Comments due April 8.
