Short Takes: Boatmen's Hires VP For Pilot Fund Sales

Boatmen's Trust Co. has hired a vice president to coordinate sales of its Pilot proprietary mutual funds.

Eric K. Schweitzer, a former account manager with funds distributor Bisys Investment Services Group, Columbus, Ohio, is now a vice president at the trust subsidiary of St. Louis-based Boatmen's Bancshares.

He oversees sales and market development for the bank's 12 Pilot funds throughout the banking company's operations in nine states.

David F. Toth, senior vice president and director for mutual funds at Boatmen's, said Mr. Schweitzer will focus on sweep products and retail fund sales.

The Pilot funds, launched in late 1994, held $5.5 billion of assets last week.
