In Briefs: Direct Marketer in Deal with MasterCard

The Signature Group, a direct marketer providing fee-based products to cardholders, said it has entered a marketing arrangement with MasterCard International.

Banks offering MasterCard's MasterValues discount program will notify customers about Signature's Dining a la Card through statement inserts to about 30 million people from April 1 through Sept. 30.

Dining a la Card, whose annual fee normally is $49.95, will be offered to MasterCard cardholders free for one year. Participants get a 20% rebate on their dining bills in specified restaurants.
