In Briefs: Visa to Back Youth Art Show at Olympics

Visa said five American children, 11 to 13 years old, will attend the summer Olympics in Atlanta for five days as a reward for art they submitted to "Visa Olympics of the Imagination."

The children were asked to create a futuristic Olympic sport and describe how it would promote peace and unity.

Examples included an underwater tug-of-war, downhill "bicycle skiing," and a "violence-solving game."

"Kids found it hardest to imagine what a future Olympic sport would be like," said Sandra Stairs, spokeswoman for Visa.

The U.S. winners will be joined by young artists from 21 countries who will display their art in an exhibition during the games. Their work will also be used to create commemorative postcards.
