tech Bytes: 7 Community Banks Sign On with Alltel

Alltel Information Services, Little Rock, announced this week that it has reached software and information systems services agreements with seven community banks.

The agreements, signed over the past few months, are worth nearly $4 million over the next five years, officials at the software and outsourcing firm said.

The agreements are for Alltel's Horizon Banking System, core acounting software that runs on IBM AS/400 midrange computers.

The banks are: China Trust Bank, with branches in New York and Los Angeles; Capital Bank, Albany, N.Y., First Federal Savings Bank of Siouxland, Sioux City, Iowa; First Federal Savings and Loan of Alpena, Mich.; Brentwood Bank of California, Los Angeles; Citizens Trust Bank, Atlanta; and Peoples Bank of Glen Rock, Pa.
