Insurance Group Gets Set to Court Banks

The Life Insurance Marketing Research Association expects to release a study next month that details banks' success at selling annuities and insurance.

The Windsor, Conn.-based trade group, which has about 500 insurance company members, plans to begin courting banks once the study comes out, said Robert Baranoff, business unit manager.

The association already counts several banks among its members, including Citicorp, Fleet Financial Group, Barnett Banks, and Chase Manhattan Corp.
