Alabama National Bancorp Names Executive

Alabama National Bancorp, Birmingham, elected two executives as corporate senior vice presidents.

James S. Parks Jr. was named senior vice president-finance, treasurer, and controller. He succeeded Frank W. Whitehead, who resigned as chief financial officer and treasurer for health reasons, the company said. Alabama National said it would not appoint a CFO but that Mr. Parks would be responsible for Mr. Whitehead's financial duties. Mr. Whitehead remains an executive vice president and director.

Mr. Parks was also named senior vice president and cashier of National Bank of Commerce, the corporation's lead bank. He remains its controller.

William R. Ireland Jr. was named senior vice president-loan review and compliance director. He remains senior vice president-loan review and compliance director at the lead bank.
