Barreiro Elected President of N.J. Hispanic Bankers Group

The New Jersey chapter of the Hispanic Bankers Association has elected MaryLou Barreiro as president, succeeding a Summit Bancorp colleague, Adrian Marquez.

Ms. Barreiro is a vice president of middle-market lending in Hackensack for Summit Bank; Mr. Marquez has the same job in Cherry Hill. Summit Bancorp is based in Princeton.

The Hispanic Bankers Association's national headquarters are in Los Angeles. Mr. Marquez founded the New Jersey chapter last year.

Alice Ruiz, an assistant vice president and retail employee relations manager for Summit, was elected first vice president of the trade group chapter.

Wanda Saez of PNC Bank was elected second vice president, and Emilio Valdes of Chase Manhattan Bank was elected secretary. Alberto Casasus Jr. of Summit was elected treasurer.
