Capital Briefs: Fed Board Charges, Fines Japanese Bank Officer

The Federal Reserve Board has issued an enforcement action against an officer at the Bank of Yokohama.

Toshihiko Araki, who works at the institution's New York branch, was fined $5,000 for an alleged misstatement to a Federal Reserve Bank examiner regarding his wire transit authority, the central bank announced last week.

Mr. Araki consented to the penalty without admitting or denying guilt.
