In Brief: Calif. Title Firm Pays $344,000 in Loan Tiff

A title company has paid SGV Bancorp $344,000 to settle a lawsuit stemming from a 1992 transaction.

SGV sued Fidelity National Title Co. and a developer because of a dispute over the thrift's demand for partial payment of a construction loan on a property with a group of residential lots.
