Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank, Cherry Hill, N.J., hired Kenneth M. Morgan as a commercial lending vice president.

He is responsible for managing the middle-market loan portfolio in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

Mr. Morgan was an assistant vice president at United Jersey Bank, responsible for portfolio management and initiating commercial lending relationships in Gloucester County. Before that he was an assistant vice president and relationship manager for Camden and Burlington counties at Chemical Bank in New Jersey.

Commerce also hired Clifford J. Brennen as head trader, responsible for municipal bond and note trading and underwriting through the bank's commercial capital division. Mr. Brennen had been vice president of municipal trading and underwriting at Natwest Financial Markets Group, and before that held a similar post at United Jersey Bank. Earlier he was president of Coogan, Gilbert & Co., an investment firm dealing in securities trading and underwriting.
