Huntington Promotes Head of Hometown Region

Huntington National Bank, Columbus, Ohio, has named James E. Kunk president of its central region.

The bank, the principal subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares, has six regions.

Mr. Kunk had been executive vice president for the central Ohio region, which includes 40 branches in Columbus and its suburbs. The new job puts an extra 10 branches-in Ashland, Bellefonte, Burton, Chillicothe, Dover, Kent, Lima, London, Mansfield, Marysville, Wadsworth, and Washington Court House- under his supervision.

Huntington National also said it had elected John B. Gerlach Jr. to its board. Mr. Gerlach is chairman and chief executive of Lancaster Colony Corp., a manufacturer and marketer of specialty foods, automotive parts, glassware, and candles.
