After 20 years with Citibank, most recently as svp and head of operations and technology for global relationship banking, Mary Cirillo has moved into Frank Newman's camp as evp/senior managing director and head of client processing services at Bankers Trust New York Corp. Marking yet another technology executive departure from Citi, Cirillo will oversee cash management and securities services, corporate trust and agency services, retirement services, global custody, securities lending and portfolio performance measurement and risk analysis.

While her new role is not directly related to technology, Cirillo says that her technology background is invaluable in her new post (see Q&A p. 54). ... With CEO Eric Schmidt's arrival at Novell came the resignation of president and COO Joseph A. Marengi, who's joined Dell Computer Corp. in a newly created svp position, heading up services and sales to Dell's larger corporate customers. ... While some banks may be looking outside for key technology executives, KeyCorp is promoting within: former national manager of commercial loan services John Largent is now evp of a newly created national loan services group; Alvin Coppolo, once national manager of cash management services, is now evp of electronic payment services; and Gerald McQuaid, former Northeast regional manager for banking operations is now evp of banking operations.
