In Brief: Capital One Launches Youth Grants Program

Capital One Bank has inaugurated a Leadership Grants program for Richmond-area youth in cooperation with five local service agencies.

The three-year, $1.5 million program is an effort by Capital One Bank, subsidiary of Capital One Financial Corp., to share goals and resources with the agencies, promote collaboration and exchange of information among agencies, participate through volunteer programs, and to evaluate and refine agency programs to help the Richmond community.

The Richmond area agencies awarded Leadership Grants are: Communities in Schools, Richmond Community Action Program, the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, Science Museum of Virginia, and William Byrd Community House.
