In Brief: Westmark OriginationsIn 6 Months Top All '96

Westmark Group last week reported that loan volume for the first six months of this year exceeded volume for all of last year.

The subprime mortgage lender originated $49.4 million in B and C loans in the first half-compared with $41 million for all of 1996.

In June Westmark originated $10.1 million of loans, marking the first time in the company's 11-year history that it produced more than $10 million in a month.
