Roundup: Nat City Giving $50K To Habitat for Humanity

National City Community Development Corp. has awarded a grant of $50,000 to Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.

The grant, awarded last Wednesday, will pay for construction of garages for a dozen homes built by Habitat for Humanity in the Bicentennial Village neighborhood development project.

"This grant is consistent with our policy of contributing to the communities in which we operate," said David A. Daberko, chairman and chief executive of $52 billion-asset National City Corp.

Bicentennial Village is a neighborhood development project co-sponsored by National City involving the rehabilitation of existing homes and the construction of new homes on Cleveland's East Side.
