Security First to Help Spruce Up Barnett Site

Barnett Banks Inc. has selected Security First Technologies to help upgrade its World Wide Web banking program.

Relying on Security First for technical support of its banking Web site, "we will be able to broaden the opportunities of our customers to conduct transactions and to buy and sell with us," said William F. McLimans, director of electronic and self-service banking at the Jacksonville, Fla.- based banking company.

The $40 billion-asset Barnett, a pioneering home banking provider through the Prodigy on-line network and interactive television systems, said it was attracted to Security First's technical proficiency and relatively short "time to market."

Barnett will pilot-test Security First's Virtual Financial Manager and Virtual Credit Card Manager in the fall and expects them to be available to customers at the start of 1998.
