Card Briefs: PNC to Put 113 ATMs In Convenience Stores

PNC Bank Corp. announced it has signed an agreement with Thornton Oil Corp. to put 113 automated teller machines in Thornton's Gas and Convenience Stores.

Eighty machines had previously been installed in Thornton stores. PNC will put the new machines in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

The NCR Corp. machines initially will only dispense cash. By yearend, some will also sell postage stamps and prepaid telephone cards.
